    Are Facebook Ads Dead?

    They may not be dead just yet, but they are hurting.
    Apple and Facebook have been in a tech war and right now Apple has the upper hand. Apple released iOS 14 with improved security functions. Those functions severely impede the effectiveness of Facebook Ads to target Apple users by protecting the data of the Apple user. I personally think the movement to protect consumer data is long overdue. But what does this mean to you as a business owner?
    • You potentially just lost half your ad audience.
    • Ads can’t be tailored to your desired audience.
    • Your cost per click is going to rise. So is the time involved to generate leads with ads.

    Now, more than ever, you need to infuse tried and true lead generation methods into your marketing efforts.
    • Build and Communicate with your database.
    • Livestream and videos for your consumer base just became that much more important.

    Speaking of SEO – Google has a major change coming as well. Google is releasing a new ranking factor in June called Core Web Vitals that along with current ranking factors (HTTPS, Mobile Friendly) will directly affect how you show up on Google. If you don’t meet the minimum requirements of their Core Web Vitals test, you can have trouble ranking. Google also stated they will be adding a visual indicator in the search results, to highlight the sites who pass.
    If your website is not ready it will sink like a stone. Not only in the design but in function. It must be mobile ready and fast. If it takes longer than 3 seconds to load then you will lose. Here is a great way to test your site. Go to GTMetrix and test your site for FREE. Test it from a mobile device, not your laptop or desktop.
